The International Alliance for Women (TIAW) was established in 1980 as a Not-For-Profit organization to serve as a global umbrella organization that unites, supports and promotes women and their networks to work together, share resources and leverage ideas.
TIAW is an organization whose motto “Connecting to Make All the Difference in the World” represents over 50,000 women globally. TIAW is dedicated to fostering the economic empowerment and advancement for women around the world through life-altering, world changing programs that speak to the economic status of women and meets the needs of our members.
- Microenterprise Development Program addresses one of the most critical needs facing millions of women globally, access to credit * Utilizes strategic partnerships to provide financial support, technical assistance and advocacy for women* Incorporates an innovative peer lending model for women helping women. To-date TIAW has raised the funds for 100 Village Banks in over 23 countries including Vietnam, Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia, Mexico, Peru and Chile.
- Entrepreneurship Program *Utilizes internet technologies to connect TIAW entrepreneurs around the world * Improves business skills and increases business opportunities.
- Women on Boards Program * Educates members on issues of directors’ responsibilities and liabilities, board governance, operations and trends * Works with international governments to increase opportunities for women to get board invitations.
- TIAW Daughters * Prepares girls ages 10-16 for financial independence through a proprietary mentoring curriculum designed by TIAW * Creates a positive impact on the cycle of girls helping girls in the years to come.
- Corporate Women’s Leadership Network Program *Designed to build connections between corporate women through topical conversations *Sharing of Best Practices *Opportunities for Networking and Mentoring *Professional Development Webcasts * Special Events
