INVITATION TO 14TH APEC WOMEN LEADERS NETWORK MEETING
Women and Sustainable Development in APEC
4 – 5 August 2009  |  Singapore

It is my pleasure to invite you to attend the 14th APEC Women Leaders’ Network (WLN) Meeting to be held in Singapore from 4 to 5 August 2009. Singapore’s Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong will be the Guest-of-Honour at the opening ceremony.

The theme of the meeting is timely, “Women and Sustainable Development in APEC” given the increasing number of women around the world contributing more towards the global economy.

In conjunction with the WLN meeting, Singapore will also host the APEC Digital Economy Forum for Women on 3 August 2009. The Forum is organised by the Asia Pacific Women’s Information Network Center (APWINC) with the support of the Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports (MCYS) of Singapore.

The programmes and administrative details for the WLN meeting and the APEC Digital Economy Forum for Women are being finalised and will be provided at a later date.
